Commissioner Wambui Nyutu OGW is the Vice Chairperson of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi. She recently acquired a certificate in Leadership Decision-Making and completed the Women and Power program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Commissioner Nyutu is also a Certified Professional Mediator from the Mediation Training Institute East Africa and holds an Arbitration and ADR certification from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Prior to her appointment as a Commissioner at NCIC in 2019, she served as a Director at the National Irrigation Board of Kenya since 2018. She also worked as a Legal Assistant at Kiragu Wathuta & Co Advocates in 2017 and as a Legal Secretary at Peman Consultants from 2016 to 2019.

Commissioner Nyutu is the founder and policy maker of the Wambui Nyutu Foundation, a youth-led organization concerned with the economic, political, and social issues affecting the youth of Kenya. In 2015, she served as the Legal Secretary of the Kenya University Students Organisation and as a special delegate of the Students Organisation of Nairobi University. In 2018, she was awarded the Order of Grand Warrior (OGW) by His Excellency, the 4th president of Kenya, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta.
