STATEMENT BY MR. HASSAN S. MOHAMED, OGW, COMMISSION SECRETARY / CEO, NATIONAL COHESION AND INTEGRATION COMMISSION ON THE MOVE TO INVESTIGATE THE KYUSO LEVEL FOUR LEAFLETS WARNING NON-LOCAL WORKERS
The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) attention is drawn security fears of the non-locals working at the Kyuso Level Four Hospital, Kitui County after receiving leaflets. The Commission has therefore dispatched a team of investigators this afternoon to the sub county hospital to get into the matter.
Such leaflets could trigger violence and incidences of ethnic attacks on workers in this region. We are therefore, urging the residents of this region to embrace dialogue to solve any differences even as NCIC and other security agencies are on the ground investigating this matter.
The Commission will continue working with law enforcement agencies to ensure calmness and a peaceful cohesive society.
