The 2022 customer service week was celebrated in pomp and color at the NCIC, with the office dedicating a day to honor its employees owing to this year’s theme of celebrating service.

The week came in the aftermath of highly contested but peaceful elections, thanks to Kenyans who heeded the #ElectionsBilaNoma call and voted peacefully.
The commission, through its social media outlets sent a thanksgiving message to Kenyans lauding them for exercising mature democracy as well as recognizing the need for a violence free election.
“We are immensely grateful to all Kenyans for their help in executing our mandate as well your aid in achieving our dream of #ElectionsBilaNoma. Your support as customers is invaluable. This year we celebrate Service and the vital role played by all Kenyans in keeping our country peaceful!” read the message.

Back in the office, the commission led by Commissioners Dr. Danvas Makori and Hon. Dorcas Kedogo and the Commission Secretary Dr. Skitter Ocharo gathered for a happy hour moment, where they exchanged pleasantries and cake-cutting to commemorate the week.
Customer Service Week is celebrated annually across the globe during the first full week in October, to celebrate the importance of customer service and of the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis.

Thousands of organizations across the world celebrate Customer Service Week. They represent government agencies, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retailing, hospitality, communications, nonprofits, and educational organizations, as well as government agencies, and others.
This year marks the 31st year of celebrating Customer Service Week during the first full week in October.
Since its beginnings, the week has been embraced by organizations across the globe that recognizes the value of service and the contributions of their frontline teams.
