In the Pursuit to examine one of the obstacles to an effective and efficient public service, the Commission commenced the collection of ethnic audit data in October 2020.

Currently, Ethnic Audit data has been received from 13 Governor’s offices, 18 county public service boards and 30 county assemblies.

Resulting the analysis of this data, the Research team shall engage the counties to verify the data and seek the challenges as well as measures put in place to address the state of affairs with the aim of enhancing efficacy within the County Public Service and establishing best practices.

This coming week between the 14th to 20th the Commission shall be visiting Mombasa, Kwale, and Kilifi counties for purposes of Validating Ethnic and Diversity Audit Data.

The Research team intends to visit Mombasa, Kwale and Kilifi counties to validate the data as a due diligence mechanism for establishment of a Public Service that enjoys public confidence and trust. The baseline study was conducted in early 2016.
