TRANSNZOIA COUNTY AMANI CLUB REPORT
These schools have initiated AMANI CLUBS and have participated in several peace and environmental activities in their respective sub-counties and at county level. We were able to carry out the following activities despite diverse challenges.
- The committed number of Amani Club members stands at 676
- We planted over 500 more trees in our Amani Club gardens.
- The Amani Club members participated in community service within their schools.
- The Amani club members did participate on programmes based on peace on a weekly basis.
- We did network with Christian union, Guidance and counselling and disciplinary committee for reconciliation.
- Keeping our school clean campaign by peace ambassador.
- Partnering with church sponsor’s in preaching peace.
- We had a successful observation of International Day of Peace.
- Advocacy in inclusivity in prefects’ body in promoting peace.
- Over the year I did lobbying in teacher’s forums and some of the schools strongly promised to join the Amani Clubs this year 2020.
