Kwale County

Kwale County comprises of 4 sub-counties namely, Matuga, Msambweni, Kinango and Lunga Lunga. Some of the key peace and cohesion challenges in Kwale are, border dispute with Taita Taveta County radicalization and violent extremism among the youth and land related conflicts that gave rise to secessionist movements. Kwale County Schools Peace Clubs Association was founded in the year 2014 following a capacity building workshop by the Commission. The association was established to bring on board all schools with Amani clubs in order to coordinate peace and cohesion activities. In order to achieve this, the Kwale County Schools Peace Clubs Association (KCSPCA) carries out quarterly events which bring together students and teachers from all member schools. Kwale County has contributed significantly towards peace and cohesion through Amani clubs.
