Other functions that the department spearhead include:-

• Managing the implementation of reconciliation and peace building activities through formation of peace and cohesion committee,

• Creating conflict monitoring systems;

• Development of training curriculum on reconciliation and peace building;

• Working in liaison with other partners including bilateral donors to support reconciliation, integration and peace initiatives;

• Providing guidance on mainstreaming reconciliation and peace building as a cross- cutting theme across all NCIC’s programs;

• Coordinating with County and National Governments to improve their understanding and support for the NCIC’s activities; particularly on peace building, cohesion, reconciliation, and integration;

• Conducting monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of ongoing and ending projects;
• Preparation and submission of regular internal and donor reports on all peace building, cohesion and reconciliation activities;
• Researching, writing and submission of proposals for new projects.
• Development and advocacy of relevant policies such as Cohesion and Integration policy, Peace building and conflict management reparation policy, and IDP policy etc.
• Developing and updating the commission’s peace, cohesion, integration, and reconciliation advocacy materials.
